All participants of The Playing Card Challenge must accept and obey the following terms and conditions to be eligible for any prize.
Team Information
Teams can consist of 1-4 people, and can be comprised of Cornell students and/or community members. Active teams must submit the appropriate registration fee to be eligible for submission. The full registration fee is $20 per team. Individuals may be members of multiple teams. Entries submitted after the posted deadline will only be accepted at the discretion of Creativity Collective.
Winner Selection
Winners will be chosen based on aggregate scores from a panel of judges selected by Creativity Collective. Creativity Collective reserves the right to select any persons to act as judges on its behalf. These judges will be announced at the discretion of Creativity Collective. Members of Creativity Collective have no input in the scoring of submissions. The Grand Prize will be awarded to the team with the highest composite score across all judges and all 3 criteria of the rubric, consisting of aesthetics, functionality, and originality. Runner up prizes will be awarded to the teams with the highest average score in each of the respective judging categories from all judges. In addition, one runner up prize will be awarded to the team with the most “likes” per one photo of their submission on the Facebook page for this contest by the end of the showcase period. Each team is only eligible to receive one prize.
Prize Details
Prizes are subject to availability and any applicable laws or regulations regarding their acceptance and redemption. Creativity Collective and Turning Stone Casino reserve the right to alter the prize packages at any time without advance notice. In order to claim any prizes, the winners and any potential guests must be at least 18 years old by the date the prize package is redeemed. Room and dinner reservations required, subject to availability and certain blackout dates may apply.
Participation and refunds
Creativity Collective reserves the right to disqualify any team at any time for any reason deemed appropriate in accordance with the intent of this contest. No refunds will be made of entry fees or playing card purchases for any reason.
